Miuru Jayaweera is an Internationally Certified Yoga Instructor with a YTT200hrs. from an affiliated Yoga Institute of the International Yoga Alliance and a Certified 65hrs. from Knoff Yoga School Australia.
The foundation of Miuru's Yoga practice combines the physical with the inner emotional and spiritual journey. By integrating body, breath, movement, and meditative awareness, she is able to promote awareness of the interdependency of all these aspects in personal health and wellbeing. Miuru uses her understanding of the human body and psyche to teach and cultivate an awareness of one’s own practice and life process.

Yoga for Absolute Beginners

Anyone who has a body can attempt Yoga. You might think you are not flexible enough or too big or too small; too weak or too old. Miuru is qualified in Chair Yoga - for those who find it difficult to sit on the floor and who might take a longer period to perform Asana; Kids Yoga Asana that will intrigue your active child and for moms who will find it helpful to bring along their children to class to practice together, and options you can discuss and feel comfortable with.

Yoga for Intermediates

The Progression Plan in Miuru's Yoga classes guarantees a notable improvement in the regular and disciplined student. Once the absolute beginner is more adept in the foundational aspects of the Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga elements he /she will be graduated to Intermediate level based on performance and Miuru will guide them and practice with them in all sessions with the appropriate assists and adjusts.

Yoga for Athletes

As a certified Yin Yoga Instructor, Miuru brings in her practical knowledge of working with International athletes, gym lovers, runners and individuals with dense muscle mass and physical strength in helping them lessen injury, improve greater range of motion and flexibility throughout their body through Ligamental stretching, Tendon and Cartledge care giving great attention to the anatomical structures of the human form.

Yoga for Moms

As a mother of 2 children, Miuru takes a special interest in advocating a fitness lifestyle for fellow moms. Starting from the basic steps in building mental balance, stress relief, meditation and focus to gradually building strength and flexibility not only in body but also psychologically, she strives to foster a like minded community of mothers passionate about wellbeing and self-care in and out of her classes.
